On Tuesday, September 21, California Secretary of State candidate Christina Tobin spoke at a press conference in support of California Proposition 19, which would legalize, tax and regulate marijuana in California.

Christina spoke about California’s Top Two primary, proportional representation and ballot access.

Also speaking were former Governor of New Mexico Gary Johnson, Yes on 19 Field Coordinator James Rigdon, and Gerald Murray, national youth coordinator for Costa Rican President Laura Chinchilla’s campaign in 2010.

The first 12 minutes consist of an interview with political scientist Eric McGhee. The remaining 48 minutes is the debate between California’s Lieutenant Governor Abel Maldonado, who sponsored the bill that put Proposition 14 on the ballot, and Richard Winger of Ballot Access News.
